VIP* invitations to the Early Man exhibition

- one of the added benefits of staying with a host family

International House has a full programme of afternoon and evening activities for students coming to their summer school. This summer, two students and an accompanying teacher had an added bonus when their host family took them to a private viewing of the Animating Early Man exhibition.

It tells the story of how Bristol based film makers Aardman Animations created the models and made the story. Our students had a tour of the exhibition where they saw the characters, film making techniques and models used. They also watched a short film about the making of cartoons and how they create the sound effects.

"I have never seen how a cartoon is made before," says 17 years old Raquel from Spain

"I was impressed by how long it takes just to make five minutes of a film," added 15 years old Mariia from Ukraine

The exhibition runs from 6th July to 3rd November 2019. If you're also coming to Bristol this summer or autumn, check it out here.
