Hello, my name is Kasia and I am originally from Poland.
I graduated in Special Educational Needs Pedagogy and in German Philology on the Pedagogical University in Krakow. I moved to Stuttgart in Germany for one year to complete my dissertation concerning the methodology of teaching German. Since January 2014 I have been working at International House as a German teacher. I am teaching on Mondays. I acquired my experience by working in several language schools as well as in mainstream schools with children and adults. In my classes I focus mainly on the communication side of the language and I am using different kind of materials to cater for my students’ needs. I share my opinion with Frank Smith who once said: “One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way.” Learning languages broadens your mind and gives you ability not just to speak the language but also to get to know its culture, literature and history. Apart from my passion for languages I also like to travel to new places especially on my bike. I also love diving, which allows me to discover new dimensions of my life.
