Update from the Director - September

"What a month September has proven to be. Yesterday, Bristol enjoyed temperatures of 20 degrees and wall-to-wall sunshine and today autumn rain has set in.  We live in a topsy turvy world.

Life at IH Bristol is much more stable than the British weather. We are welcoming more students back every week and it is marvellous to see classes filling up, both face-to-face and online. In uncertain times it is good to know that there are things you can always depend on and by choosing IH Bristol for your course, you can be assured of quality teaching in a safe environment - in fact, we placed in the top 8% of the EL Gazette's UK Language Centre Rankings for 2020/2021. 

Our CELTA trainee teachers are now in the second week of their course and their practice lessons are attracting more and more students from all over Bristol. Our EFL students are studying hard and making progress and enjoying the new normal of life during a pandemic. Our Foreign Languages students have returned to class, largely online, and we are delighted to be able to continue to offer a wide variety of languages - in fact Greek and Welsh are among our most popular this term! 

We are already busy planning for 2021.  Bookings are coming in steadily for our 2021 Junior courses, including our new Easter course, and we already have good numbers booked in for summer 2021. Our exam classes continue to be popular, especially those where the exam fee is included in the price and extra exam practice is offered as standard. We know that it is important for everybody to get maximum value from the course they choose and with our free added extras – online study options, exam practice, Individual Learning Plans, Conversation Club, and much more – we are confident that everybody who chooses to come to our wonderful school in beautiful Bristol will have an experience second to none.
