Chiara Dominianni - Work Placement Student
Before leaving Italy people told me not to be worried because time flies, I wasn't sure at that time but now I am. The 22nd of June seems a long time ago, and probably it is, but I didn't realise time was going so fast.
My Erasmus experience has come to an end. It's a mix of emotions because I am happy to go back home, but I will miss this country, Bristol and everything that was part of my life here. Thanks to everyone I met who taught me something, to all the wonderful people who contributed to improve my English and to the ones whose life stories made me become a more open-minded person.
Not only are these experiences important for a future job or for getting better language skills, but also because thanks to them we get to know different cultures, different ways of thinking, different lifestyles. These experiences make you understand that what is different from you is not bad, you can actually learn something from it. So thanks to everyone who contributed to make my experience unforgettable and who helped me to understand that, in order to become a better citizen of this world.
Bye bye Bristol, see you soon!
