Soaring high at the Balloon Fiesta!

The Bristol Balloon Fiesta, is currently Europe's largest free annual hot air balloon festival. With a rich history and an atmosphere brimming with excitement, the Bristol Balloon Fiesta has become an iconic event that draws people from all corners of the globe.

As dawn breaks over Ashton Court Estate, hot air balloons of all shapes and sizes begin to inflate. From traditional round balloons to whimsical shapes like animals, cartoon characters, and even objects, the creativity and diversity of these balloons brings something new year after year.

One of the highlights of the fiesta is the Mass Ascent, where dozens of balloons ascend into the sky simultaneously, creating a stunning visual spectacle. During the Night Glows, the balloons are inflated on the ground and illuminated in time to music, transforming the night into a sparkling canvas of light and color. It's a sight that captures the imagination and leaves a lasting impression.

Bristol's International Balloon Fiesta attracts over 100 hot air balloons and is witnessed by 500,000 followers over the event's four days.
