Students of the Month!

Congratulations to last month's students of the month, Alina and Martin!

Alina is from a small village in the German speaking part of Switzerland, where she works in a hospital and is studying to become a nurse. She came to Bristol because she wanted to improve her English, as she feels this will be useful for her future travels and for her career in nursing.

Alina quickly felt comfortable in Bristol because it isn’t too big, and she loves that there are lots of green spaces and that the streets are lined with trees. She feels that the students at the school are like a family: everyone cares for each other regardless of their nationality or level of English. She finds the teachers friendly and approachable and appreciates that although they plan their lessons well, they are happy to be spontaneous in lessons and to adapt their classes to suit the needs and interests of the students.

The teachers chose Alina as this month’s Student of the Month because of her dedication to her studies, her enthusiasm for learning, and her cheerful presence in the classroom!

Martin is from Hefei, a large city in the east of China. He has just finished high school and is hoping to study at Bristol University in the future. He originally came to Bristol to visit his relatives and he liked it so much that he decided to stay for longer and study English!

Martin thinks the green spaces in Bristol make it an easy city to be active in, and despite the rain, he loves the weather here. He thinks that the teachers at IH Bristol are experienced and friendly and the students are kind and helpful, and he feels that the trips organised by the school have made him more confident about travelling in the UK.

The teachers have been impressed with Martin’s motivation, inquisitive nature and studious attitude.  Well done!

Congratulations to both students, keep up the good work!
