Students of the Month - October

October has been another successful month for our student cohort. It is amazing to see our students engaging more than ever, especially with the introduction of Val's book club being a smash hit! On that note, take a minute to read about our standout students for October.

Sebastião is from Luanda, the capital of Angola, where he works as a planning manager for an oil company.  English is important for Sebastiao’s job, and his boss encouraged him to come to Bristol in order to improve his level.

Sebastião enjoys studying at IH Bristol because the teachers are attentive to their students, the other students are friendly and welcoming, and the reception staff are always helpful.  He likes living in Bristol (despite the cold weather!) and he never feels lonely here thanks to the strong community at the school.

The teachers chose Sebastião as Student of the Month because he is very hard working and has developed excellent self-study skills, he is always keen to help other students, and he brightens his classes with his cheerful manner.

Stella is a student from Greece who lives in Denmark. She has been studying at IH Bristol since October and wants to improve her English in order to study for a master’s degree in Environmental Science back in Denmark.

After deciding that she wanted to visit Bristol, Stella checked reviews of schools online and decided that IHB would be the ideal place for her English studies.

Stella says that she likes the atmosphere, vibe and energy of Bristol, something which is reflected at the school. The small size of IHB means everyone is close and familiar, and the teachers are kind and friendly.

The teachers chose Stella as the Student of the Month because she contributes very well in class and always tries to recycle the new language. She shows a great attitude towards learning and helps other students too. Well done Stella!

We can't wait to see these two brilliant students continue to grow here and beyond. Congratulations to both of you.
