At IH Bristol we are incredibly proud to manage and run our own private host network. It allows us to ensure the quality of experience our students receive. But not only this, we promote homestay for the incredible impact it has on students’ language development and how truly committed our hosts are to giving student’s memories that last a lifetime.

Football fun in Bristol – for men and women

"As Argentina are the current world champions, we weren’t surprised when our latest student Camila, 17, told us that she loved watching football. But we soon found out that she hadn’t yet seen women playing it professionally.

Bristol City women’s team play in the English ‘Women’s Super League’. This Sunday they welcomed Liverpool to their home stadium. We thought it would be a great way to introduce Camila to women’s professional football!

We enjoyed 90 minutes of excitement as both teams played with flair and finesse. Unfortunately for us, Liverpool won 1-0. More importantly, we hope that the memory of watching her first professional women’s game will stay with Camila for a long time. We also hope that she shares her experience with girls who want to play football back home in Argentina.
