Student's of the Month

Mahshid is from Tehran, Iran, where before coming to the UK she worked as a freelance video maker. She has been in the UK for 6 months and is studying English in the hopes of going to university to study film making.

Mahshid chose to come to Bristol because she wanted to study abroad, and was recommended IH Bristol by an acquaintance.  She says that she likes Bristol because it is a nice city, not too large, and the weather here is better than other places in the UK – she likes Bristol a lot. Some of the things that Mahshid says she likes about the school are the diverse range of students, and the number of social activities available. She also says the teachers are nice!

The teachers nominated Mahshid as student of the month because she is a consistent and dedicated student who has made continuous improvements since arriving at the school. She always works hard and joins in frequently with our social programme activities. Well done!

Ahmed is from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and has been studying at IH Bristol for 4 months. He choose to come to the UK because he wants to improve his English to study electrical engineering at King Saud university. IH Bristol was recommended by his dad. He says he likes Bristol because it is a great city with nice weather, good transport and he likes being close to the Avon river. Ahmed loves his host family, they are very friendly and they always talk and joke over dinner. Ahmed likes the social programme activities and hanging out in the students room with his friends. Ahmed says he likes the lessons because they are fun, competitive and make grammar easy to learn.

The teachers nominated Ahmed as student of the month because of his friendly, positive attitude and how much he engages both in class and on the social programme. Ahmed is a lot of fun to teach and always makes sure that everyone is included in activities. Good work Ahmed!
