Tegen Fisher
Social Programme Organiser & EFL Teacher

Hello, my name is Tegen!

I was born in England but moved to New Zealand when I was eight and recently decided to move back. I have lived in many places in the UK, but Bristol is a special city and I am excited to help our students discover it!

I am the Social Programme Organiser and EFL teacher here at International House Bristol; my previous background was in the radio industry where I specialised in promotions and event planning. I believe that a great way to learn English is to immerse yourself in the culture through social activities, making language fun and an opportunity to build great relationships with others. I have extensively travelled and always had a fascination with different cultures, countries, and languages. I have even been teaching myself Turkish as I love the country and Turkish television series, hoping one day to not need subtitles! The power of learning a second language is like no other, to see a person’s eyes light up in recognition that you can communicate without barriers can be life changing. When I’m not organising and running the social programme or in the classroom, I’ll most likely be singing and playing the guitar, songwriting, reading a good book, or baking cookies!

I hope to see you soon at International House Bristol for an experience that you will cherish forever.
