British culture at its finest
After class, you can enjoy a daily afternoon activity and late afternoon/evening activity most nights. On Mondays, a welcome lunch is provided at school before heading out for a walking tour of Bristol's Harbourside or Clifton Village & Suspension Bridge. Throughout the week activities include exploring Bristol's Aerospace Museum, Brunel's SS Great Britain, a harbourside walking tour and boat trip and graffiti tour. There are excursions on the two Saturdays to Oxford and London, and the option to visit the nearby UNESCO city of Bath.
In addition to the programme schedule, we have a variety of optional extra excursions such as wine tasting, brewery tours and a tour of the oldest working theatre in England.
Make the most of learning English
We focus on practical, effective and natural English. The classes are designed to build on any existing knowledge you already have. Our aim is to help you feel more comfortable communicating in English-speaking situations at home and abroad, and we'll cover topics related to the activities and excursions you go on so you'll be even better equipped to discuss them with your classmates.

Conversation Club
Conversation Club is an excellent way to practise your English. Every Friday afternoon, all IH Bristol students are invited to gather with a teacher to discuss a variety of topics and to put the English they have been learning through the week to use. Students interact with each other, listening and responding to what they say, exactly as they will do in real life.
It is also a fun way to finish the week!
